Changing The Way We Treat Cancer

Laboratory with orange gradient

The receptor tyrosine kinase EphA2 promotes tumour growth and metastasis and is overexpressed in cancer cells but not in normal tissue

EphA2 is located at the plasma membrane, being highly accessible for therapeutics.

Aptadel Therapeutics developed anti-EphA2 RNA aptamers that inhibit the metastatic potential of tumoral cells and deliver intracellularly cytotoxic drug cargoes to target local and disseminated tumours.

The result are highly efficacious compounds with unprecedented safety profile acting on tumor cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed
